To find the block you're standing on and check its cleaning schedule. Your location is never tracked or shared with anyone. You can use the app without granting location access — just type an address into the search bar.

StreetCleaning is free and supported by ads. We never show ads on top of the traffic-light status card or during your first session. If you'd prefer not to see personalized ads, decline App Tracking when prompted — the app still works exactly the same.

iOS Settings → Notifications → StreetCleaning → toggle off. Or inside the app: Settings → Notifications.

StreetCleaning sources data from NYC Open Data and the NYC Department of Transportation. If signs on your block disagree with what the app shows, please email us with the cross-streets and a photo of the sign — we cross-check with the city dataset and report the discrepancy.

Open the app → Settings → Account → Delete Account. This removes your saved blocks, parked location, and account record from our servers within 24 hours. If you signed in with Apple, you can also revoke access from iOS Settings → Apple ID → Sign-In with Apple → StreetCleaning → Stop Using Apple ID. Local data on your phone is removed when you uninstall the app.

Not yet — the schedule data is NYC-specific. We may expand to other cities depending on demand and data availability.

We pull cleaning rules straight from the city's published dataset and check for active suspensions before showing green. That said, signs sometimes lag the dataset, and ad-hoc construction or events can suspend cleaning without notice. Always double-check the signs on your block — the app is a tool, not a guarantee.
