This page is provided in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, the Colorado Privacy Act, and similar state-level privacy laws. Many of the rights described here are also available to users outside these states.
Opt out of personalized ads
StreetCleaning uses Google AdMob to show ads. By default, you'll see non-personalized ads unless you grant App Tracking Transparency permission.
To stop AdMob from using your IDFA for personalized advertising:
- Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking
- Toggle Allow Apps to Request to Track off, or
- Find StreetCleaning in the list and toggle it off individually
The app continues to work exactly the same — only ad personalization is affected.
Do not sell or share my personal information
We do not sell your personal information for money. However, under the CCPA's broad definition, sharing data with our advertising partner (Google AdMob) for personalized ads may be considered "sharing." You can stop this sharing by opting out of App Tracking (above).
If you'd like a written confirmation that we have honored your opt-out, email hello@streetcleaning.app.
Limit use of sensitive personal information
The only sensitive personal information StreetCleaning processes is your precise location, and only when you actively grant permission. Location is read on-demand to identify your block — never stored on our servers, never shared with third parties.
To revoke location access:
- iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → StreetCleaning → set to Never, or
- Use the in-app address search instead — it works without location.
Opt out of analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used. The data collected is anonymous (no addresses, no coordinates) but is processed by Google.
To opt out:
- Open the app → Settings → Privacy → Analytics → toggle off
Access your data
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you (account email, saved blocks, push token, parked location). Email hello@streetcleaning.app with the subject line "Data Access Request" and the email address associated with your account. We respond within 30 days.
Delete your account and data
You can delete everything we have about you in the app:
- Open the app → Settings → Account → Delete Account
- Account, saved blocks, parked location, and push token are removed from our servers within 24 hours
- Local data on your device is removed when you uninstall the app
Or email hello@streetcleaning.app with the subject line "Delete My Data".
Correct your data
If any of the personal information we have about you is wrong, email hello@streetcleaning.app with the correction. We update it within 30 days.
Designate an authorized agent
You may designate someone else to exercise these rights on your behalf. The agent must email us with a signed letter of authorization. We will verify the agent's authority before processing the request.
Non-discrimination
We will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised any of the rights described on this page.
How we verify identity
For most requests, we verify your identity by matching the requesting email address to the one on your account. For deletion or access requests on accounts without an email (rare), we may ask you to confirm a recent push notification token or device identifier you have access to.
Children
StreetCleaning is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. We do not sell or share the personal information of users we know are under 16 without affirmative authorization.
